Old Orkney Miniatures
Old Orkney was the brand name for the single malt produced at Stromness distillery in Orkney. The product was generally known as "OO" and was one of the few single malts bottled in the 1920s. It seems that the distillery ceased to operate around 1928 but the product continued to be bottled well into the 1930s firstly as a single malt and latterly as a blend.

Old Orkney Miniatures
The label on Bottle 1 makes no reference to "blended" and it is probable that this miniature contains Stromness Single Malt. Bottle 2 is of the same shape but the label clearly states that the contents are "Blended Scotch Whisky". Bottles 3 to 7 have the same label design but are of different shapes and were almost certainly produced later than bottle 2. Bottle 9 contains "Old Orkney Relics". The contents are 12yo blended Scotch whisky and it seems that the blend includes the last few casks of Old Orkney malt. Bottle 8 is an empty version of the same mini. Bottle 10 is a 1990s revamp of the name by Gordon and MacPhail.
